Our Strategy
Our strategy is to build a broad therapeutic portfolio through a combination of internal development and acquisition/in-licensing activities and to utilize our specialty sales force to promote our products in neurology and psychiatry. We apply novel formulation and delivery technologies to well-proven drug molecules and new chemical entities with known mechanisms of action to enhance patient care by improving efficacy, reducing adverse side effects or increasing patient compliance relative to existing therapies.

Our mission is to improve patients’ lives by identifying, developing and commercializing valuable pharmaceutical products in focused therapeutic areas. We address serious conditions in neurology and psychiatry that are poorly understood and undertreated – all with the goal of improving patient care. Keeping patients firmly in mind inspires us to bring innovative and valuable resources to those in need.

As an industry innovator, Jazz Pharmaceuticals takes a focused approach to treating serious conditions that are poorly understood and patient populations who are underserved, as demonstrated by our products and pipeline. We have an unwavering commitment to improving patient care and developing distinctive and valuable programs for patients and physicians. Patients affected by the conditions we focus on (such as narcolepsy, social anxiety disorder and fibromyalgia) are often misdiagnosed, and many may never be properly diagnosed or treated. We believe these patient populations should not be ignored. We are committed to helping patients with neurological and psychiatric disorders better understand their condition and receive accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. We partner with physicians and support patient advocacy groups to further public education and develop unique tools and resources for patients.
